Warm up pattern

Here is a link to a warm up pattern (you’ve heard your brass-playing friends use this. . .)

“Herbert L. Clarke” warm up pattern

First choose a “middle” key, then gradually work toward the higher and lower extremes of the range. Yeah, I’d use a metronome 🙂

Once you’ve practiced the pattern for a while, you’ll have it memorized so you can read magazines and/or watch TV while exercising!

    That pattern is cool if you do it in whole tones, and it’s really cool if you do it in semitones.
